Following excellent consultations at The Pines Hospital Manchester, with Mr Desai and his team, I decided to go ahead and have both eyes treated with Lens replacement treatment sometimes known as cataract surgery. I can’t recommend the whole process, from start to finish, enough. It was brilliant! Everyone at The Pines was lovely, helpful and supportive and I was under absolutely no pressure at any time. My main reason for not wanting to wear glasses any more was terrible headaches that I suffered no matter how often my glasses were changed. I haven’t had one headache since my eye surgery six weeks ago and every day I am amazed at the results.

I had my lens replacement surgery in Burcot Hall Hospital in Birmingham ... my eye surgeon Mr Desai was fantastic and I felt totally at ease from my free consultation, right through to my surgery and aftercare. I have had a little bit of dryness in my eyes and a small amount of glare but these are getting better with each passing week. I am so grateful for my new vision, I can see the bottom line in the opticians room, whereas before the op I struggled to see any letters !! Vision is amazing now, both in the distance and up close. I am two weeks post operation and I have had no eye health problems. The operation and advice afterwards has been excellent. The eye operation was over in the space of half an hour and my sight has improved each day. The only side effect of the multi focus has been halos around lights which has been bad with car headlights and street lights. This is improving and anti glare yellow lens glasses when driving helps reduce the haloing. I hope my brain adjusts to eventually ignore this in the future as I believe it can take several months to get used to this. Other than this I am very happy with the procedure and have recommended several friends to use Transform and Mr Desai.

Mr Aasheet Desai (the surgeon), what a nice man he explained everything to me after the surgery and it was over so quickly. I had no pain afterwards I just had a bit of discomfort it was like I had an eye lash in my eye. You pay lots of money to get your car on the road but when it comes to yourself you say no. In my eyes lol! My eye surgery is worth every penny. It gave me so much more confidence now because I can see brilliantly. The only downfall is I can see all my wrinkles now lol!!
